Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam popularly known as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931 in Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. He has been India’s 11th President. He attended Madras Institute of Technology and specialized in aeronautical engineering. He became the 11th President of India in 2002. Currently, he is a visiting Professor with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Indian Institute of Management, Indore, and Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram, a professor of Aerospace Engineering at Anna University (Chennai), JSS University (Mysore), and a visiting Professor across many institutions in India.

Dr. Kalam is also a writer. Some of his most popular writings include Wings of Fire, The Luminous Sparks, and Mission India, Inspiring Thoughts.
